How to Screenshot on iPhone 3G (2.0)

Taking a full screenshot is very easy on the new iPhone software. Just press both the Sleep/Wake button and Home button at the same time. You will see a “flash” and the screenshot will be saved on your Camera Roll.

If you are writing blog posts (like me) or tutorials, you can then annotate those screenshots in Photoshop or Skitch. I especially like Skitch – I also liked Jing’s annotation tools and simplicity of use but Skitch allows annotations of photos other than screenshots. Jing does not.

Shout Out to the Readers!

This is a shout out to my readers (though I don’t have many) about how to use the maps function on the iPhone. More specifically, how to use your current gps location as the start location for directions.
I actually haven’t checked the Apple tips site but I will once I get off this darned slow EDGE network.

Edit: OK I failed at getting a response from the few readers I have so I decided to just find it out myself and that I did.

My iPhone 3G!

iPhone Colors

via MacRumors

God, you gotta be kidding me… A possibility of different iPhone colors in like 1-2 months?!? How am I going to live with myself if I get an iPhone within 1 week and then lose that chance? Read the rest of this entry »

O…M…G…

I checked the iPhone Availability Tool @ 9:10 PM on Saturday (yesterday) and seeing the almost complete availability @ all stores in CA, I got my hopes up and decided to get an iPhone early on Sunday. Read the rest of this entry »

iPhone Tethering App!

EDIT 2: As of now (unless you already had downloaded it) it looks like NullRiver is still trying to get NetShare back up.

This app is simply a MUST for people who have bought the iPhone 3G and the complementary 3G data plan that comes with it ($30). If you are paying $30 for unlimited data (actually it is technically 5GB per month) you might as well be able to share that 3G internet connection with your laptop! Read the rest of this entry »
