This is a shout out to my readers (though I don’t have many) about how to use the maps function on the iPhone. More specifically, how to use your current gps location as the start location for directions.
I actually haven’t checked the Apple tips site but I will once I get off this darned slow EDGE network.
Edit: OK I failed at getting a response from the few readers I have so I decided to just find it out myself and that I did.
In Maps, press the blue icon in the left to turn on GPS. It will take a moment trying to find where you are.
Once that is all done, if you press on the “Directions” option, you will see that your current location is the start location. But say you deleted your current location in the text field. How to get it back?
To get your current location back in the text box, just click the “Search” option, near the bottom, then just press the “Directions” option to get your current location back in the text field.
To have your current location be he end location, simply press the curvy arrow.
